 Until a few years ago, electric heating, intended as the only source of heat, was practically unfeasible, both because of the cost of electricity and above all because of the technology of the heaters, which did not allow for their complete efficiency.Nowadays electric convectors and infrared panels, intended as "volumetric" heaters, are widely used, while underfloor heating with heating hanks in fibreglass is advancing strongly on the market. Rapid technical notes - The convection system, besides being expensive, has proved over the years to be a means to "dry" the air and move the present dust, and most of the time it was necessary to use a humidifier inside the room. - Irradiation, on the other hand, is much more economical and, without fans, avoids the circulation of dust; it is done by the release of infrared radiation. - Electric radiators with infrared panels are, due to their low consumption, the most modern type of heating. The underfloor heating has been on the market since "far" 1960, but had little response because the pipes and the insulation were not yet suitable for optimal performance. Uniformity of temperature has always been the hallmark of underfloor heating. Lately a product has appeared on the market that will revolutionise it, namely underfloor heating with a fibreglass heating hank.
